Questions, answered

Are the apps free?

Yes — both apps are free to download and use every day: log foods, scan barcodes, save recipes, build grocery lists. Plus and Pro unlock the power features (unlimited recipes and imports, the meal planner, AI nutrition, full Trends and cross-app sync), and every new account starts with a 14-day free trial of Pro — no card needed.

What's the difference between Plus and Pro?

Plus unlocks everything inside one app. Pro unlocks both apps with one subscription — and switches on the bridge between them, so recipes you save in MyRecipes are loggable in MyMacros with real per-serving nutrition.

How does the AI food scanning actually work?

Point the camera at your plate and the AI identifies the foods, estimates portions and fills in calories and macros — you review and adjust before anything is logged. It also reads whole nutrition labels (front and back photos), which is handy for local products no database knows.

Where can I import recipes from?

TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and virtually any recipe website — share the link to MyRecipes and it arrives with ingredients, steps, photo and estimated nutrition. You can also scan a cookbook page or import from screenshots.

Do I need an Apple Watch or fitness tracker?

No. MyMacros works fully without one. Connect Apple Health and it also uses your real measured burn (steps, active and resting energy) for the Energy Balance view — and that works with any tracker that writes to Apple Health, including Garmin devices.

Is my data private?

Your data is yours: stored securely in Australia, never sold, and you can delete your account — and everything with it — from inside either app at any time. The full details are in our privacy policy.

When is Android coming?

Soon — both apps are being built for Google Play and we're aiming for release by the end of September. The badges above go live the day they do.
